About
Moving the top input slider to the right increases the frequency and amount of chimes. Moving left does the opposite. Some combinations of materials and arrangements work better than others and a few of the samples sound really nice in a lower pitch.
This simulation is very rough and makes no real attempt to model physics. It is basically RNG tempered with simple linear decay. I originally wrote this as a standalone sim in Python on Linux but it wasn't easy to distribute. So, many years later here it is on the web in Javascript. The original code in on Launchpad under the name Tian.
While working around the house I like to hear things other than music or podcasts, but I never lived anywhere it was convenient to have wind chimes. This is my solution. Hope you enjoy them.
