These images are not computer generated, they are stills from video I recorded while experimenting with practical effects, specifically a cloud tank (which is basically a mixture of saltwater, condensed milk, and food coloring). See one in motion on the Video page.
Here is a minimal, neutral image with a soft, noisy gradient and some temperature variations. Low res by todays standards since I made them in 2012 (1680 x 1050), but still useful even though a little blurry.
